AClookup is a data-driven reference site for US area code information. Our goal is clarity: show what an area code covers, what time zones it typically spans, how overlays and splits affect dialing, and related geographic and demographic context — all sourced from official public datasets.

Today the site focuses on US area codes. Over time, we may expand to additional NANP regions such as Canada as data coverage and quality allow.

What we don’t do
- We don’t label callers or numbers as spam/scam or provide verdicts.
- We don’t accept user-generated reports or complaints.
- We don’t provide number-level lookups (this site is about area codes, not individual phone numbers).
How we maintain this data
- Automated refresh: NANPA's official numbering report is ingested every five days, and a weekly reconciliation pass updates every derived statistic on the site.
- Manual verification: area-code histories and regulatory timelines are researched and checked against primary documents — NANPA planning letters, FCC orders, and state utility commission filings — before publication.
- Single source of truth: every count on the site is computed from one canonical database rather than hand-edited, so numbers stay consistent across pages and update together.
- Corrections: spot an error? Tell us — verified corrections are applied at the data level, not patched per page.
Our approach
We aim for correctness and transparency. Pages are designed to be readable, consistent, and stable over time. Where data comes from is documented publicly.
